Office Policies
Your First Visit
During your first appointment, Dr. Vanderhook will evaluate your occlusion (bite) to determine if any treatment is indicated at this time. He will also give you an idea of the amount of treatment time necessary. There will be no charge for the initial consultation.
If Dr. Vanderhook feels that treatment is indicated, orthodontic records will be scheduled to enable a proper diagnosis to be made and a treatment program to be outlined. These records include study models of the upper and lower teeth, facial and oral photographs, and a panorex and cephalometric head x-ray.
Treatment Fees
The fee for orthodontic treatment depends on the type of treatment indicated and the anticipated length of time in treatment. The treatment coordinator will review your treatment fee with you and go over payment options at the conclusion of your first visit.
Insurance
As an additional courtesy, if you have dental insurance that covers orthodontic treatment, a pre-treatment estimate will be sent to your carrier to determine how your benefit will work for you. Upon receiving your pre-treatment estimate we will contact you and answer any questions you have about your coverage.
Appointments
Our office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Please call our office to arrange an initial consultation and to ask any questions you have about future appointments with Dr. Vanderhook.
